This project features the new flush-fit mechanical jointed PVC window specifically designed to replicate a traditional timber joint.

We also used anthracite grey aluminium bi-fold doors to open up the new kitchen diner into the garden.

Our clients Laura and Joe decided to have the windows in a dual colour of Agate grey outside which lends itself nicely with the oak cladding and white inside.

The main challenge with this project was the first national lockdown which came in just as the builders started the side extension. Luckily it didn’t impact the whole project too much.

The project has a mix of different style windows from normal flat windows to dormers and a bay which we cut out the brickwork in the front face in order to add access into the garden from the living room via a set of French doors.

This project was part of a full barn conversion. We used the Smarts aluminium system for all the windows and the French doors with a PVC composite front door.

The most complicated frame to produce was the 4-metre arched frame which was made as one complete unit. This was used to fill the hole where the old barn doors would have been and make this window a statement piece within the entrance hall.

The client had chosen to go with Georgian bar inserts within the glass as a feature to tie in with surrounding properties. This also allows for easy cleaning of the glass. They also chose satin glass for all the windows facing into next doors courtyard, this offers the same amount of natural light to come into the building but offers full privacy due to its dense obscurity.

This project was completed just in time for Christmas 2019 and features a lovely 3 pane patio door. These doors are a great alternative to bi-folding doors when it comes to filling a large opening. They offer a lot of natural light and are surprisingly easy to operate considering the glass weighs in excess of 100kg’s.

The clients wanted to be able to see as much of their garden as possible so the shaped frame was used instead of having a window within a wall.
